Specialty Packages

This is included as part of some IDC Internship packages or can be taken at any time. Choose from one of the following:

Imaging Package
Many people have an interest in capturing what they see underwater. It can also be the first step on a rewarding career path in underwater imaging. Start with your photography course, learn the basics of digital cameras and shooting. After your dives, learn how to edit your images using Photoshop or a similar program. Then progress to video. Edit your images using computer editing software. If you do well at these courses, you may be able to progress to doing regular photos and videos for our customers. If you have your own camera, we will help you learn how to use them.

Exploration Package
Dive deeper for longer and learn how to penetrate wrecks!

Tec Package
Take the first step in a new direction and experience the future of diving. (Admittance onto this program depends on your experience level and is at the discretion of the instructor.)

- IANTD Advanced Nitrox or IANTD Deep Diver

Navigation Package
Learn to navigate in 3 different contexts and learn much more as well

Marine Life Package
As a dive professional it is very important to know about the marine life you see. It makes your dives more enjoyable but also those of your customers and enhances your professionalism. These courses will give you a good grounding in marine life knowledge which you build on during the rest of your internship and for the rest of your life. Buoyancy will help you observe marine life in a controlled manner, Fish ID and Naturalist will teach you about marine life and dusint the Photography course you will learn how to capture images and identify them on your return.

Technician Package
There are two great reasons for choosing this package: 1) You learn skills that will make you much more employable as a Divemaster or Instructor 2) It is a great option if you have to stay dry for a while, e.g. if you have an ear infection
